Lady Bobcats crush H-F

ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats set themselves up with a big showdown against Silsbee next Tuesday after hammering out a 54-32 home win over the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns Friday night.

The Lady Bobcats (6-1 in 22-4A play) waltzed out to a 24-4 lead in the first quarter against the struggling Lady Longhorns (0-7 in district) and never looked back.

 

The Lady Bobcats will visit first-place Silsbee (7-0) Tuesday night. Silsbee downed the Lady Bobcats 61-51 in the first half of district play. Silsbee defeated Bridge City (2-5 in district), 75-49 Friday.

Faith Fregia lit up the H-F defense for 20 points and added three steals and three assists.

Cameron Choate posted seven points and grabbed seven rebounds. Emmi Lummus chimed in with seven points, four rebounds and four steals.

Jayce Bourque had seven points. Jayme Deutsch had four steals while Taylor Decker had three and Tatum Garlington hauled in six boards.
