ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats jumped out to a big lead and then cruised past the Bridge City Lady Cardinals 66-49 in District 22-4A action at Bobcat Gym Tuesday night.

The win pushes the Lady Bobcats to 5-1 in 22-4A play as they stand all alone in that spot behind first-place Silsbee while the lady Cardinals dropped to 2-4.

The Lady Bobcats jumped out to a 16-5 first quarter lead but the Lady Cardinals trimmed it to 28-20 at the half.

Orangefield then went on a 20-10 spurt to go up 48-30 heading to the fourth.

Cameron Chaote had another double-double for the Lady Bobcats, scoring 12 points while ripping down 17 rebounds.

Emmi Lummus filled up the stat sheet, finishing with 10 points to go along with nine assists, seven steals and three rebounds.

Jacey Bourque had 12 points Faith Fregia had 11 for the Bobcats while Jayme Deutsch contributed seven points, nine rebounds and three steals.

The Lady Bobcats will host Hamshire-Fannett Friday while the Lady Cardinals welcome in Silsbee.

Silsbee (6-0 in district), hammered the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs (1-5 in district) 71-17 Tuesday night.

WO-S will host LC-M Friday night.
