Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 2018 Krewe of Krewe’s Mardi Gras Parades while adding a third parade to the event this year.

The chamber is currently accepting applications for the Jeep Parade, 2018 Munchkin Parade and the Mardi Gras on the Sabine Krewe of Krewe’s 2018 Motor Parade.

This year, the inaugural Jeep Parade will be added to the line up is set for 6 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018. The chamber will accept application and entry fees for the new event with the first 300 completed and paid applications being accepted.

Jeeps must be decorated with a Mardi Gras decor/theme. Proper vehicle insurance is required. No walkers, side by sides or ATVs will be allowed.

After the parade, Mix Fixxer will perform at the Riverfront Pavilion. Mixx Fixxer is a variety band that plays a mixture of new and classic hit songs.

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2018 Munchkin Parade at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

The parade for those 0-12 years of age will allow golf carts, driven by an adult. Bicycles, scooters, skates, including in-line and skateboards, are prohibited for safety reasons. Costumes are encouraged for those participating in the parade.

Parents must accompany the child in the parade. There are no fees for parents, guardians or children for the parade however a short application is required.

Mardi Gras on the Sabine Krewe of Krewe’s 2018 Motor Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Riverfront Pavilion in Orange.
