Lady Bobcats storm past LC-M

LITTLE CYPRESS — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats pulled into a second-place tie with Little Cypress-Mauriceville in District 22-4A play by rolling past the Lady Bears 49-32 at The Grove Thursday night.

The Lady Bobcats (2-1 in district) pulled away from LC-M (2-1 in district) with a 18-7 run in the second quarter to go up 27-12 at intermission and then went on a 8-1 run in the third to go up 35-13 as they cruised to the victory.

Jacey Bourque led the Lady Bobcats with 14 points and added four assists and three rebounds.

Cameron Choate chimed in with a double-double as she had 10 points, 15 rebounds and two steals. Faith Fregia had 13 points and three rebounds while Emmi Lummus contributed nine rebounds and three assists.

The Lady Bobcats will host WO-S Friday while LC-M visits first-place Silsbee.
