All hoop games moved to Wednesday due to weather

Due to the wintry weather, all Orange County high school basketball games have been cancelled for tonight night and have been rescheduled for Wednesday.

The boys District 22-4A race got underway last week.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville defeated Bridge City 65-58 while West Orange-Stark shredded Hamshire-Fannett 81-31 and Silsbee toppled Orangefield 89-41.

Games that have been moved to tonight, include LC-M (15-10, 1-0) at Orangefield (13-10, 0-1); WO-S (9-10, 1-0) at Bridge City (7-12, 0-1) and Hamshire-Fannett (1-11, 0-1) at Silsbee (14-8, 1-0).

Late scoring results for WO-S’ big win on the road at Fannett had Jervondric Simmons leading the Mustangs with 25 points while Terron Brown filtered in 15 and Devontra Ranton contributed 13.

The District 22-4A girls race is three games in with the LC-M Lady Bears (3-0) and Silsbee Lady Tigers (3-0) sharing the top spot followed by Orangefield (2-1), WO-S (1-2), Bridge City (0-3) and Hamshire-Fannett (0-3).

LC-M notched a big 70-65 overtime road victory at Bridge City last Friday to remained unscathed in 22-4A play while Silsbee downed Orangefield at Bobcat Gym 61-51.

WO-S blasted H-F 56-36. B’Jne Arvie paced the Lady Mustangs with 15 points while Diamond Judge and Gabby Tims chimed in with nine points apiece.

Girkls games lined up for tonight includes LC-M hosting Orangefield; Bridge City visiting WO-S and Silsbee going to Fannett.

Games Friday will hopefully be back to normal.

Boys games Friday includes Silsbee at LC-M; Orangefield at WO-S; and Bridge City at H-F.

Girls games Friday will have LC-M at Silsbee; WO-S at Orangefield; and H-F at Bridge City.
