Lady Tigers get past Lady Bobcats

ORANGEFIELD — The Silsbee Lady Tigers escaped Bobcat Gym with a 61-51 victory over the Orangefield Lady Bobcats Friday night in District 22-4A action.

The win pushes Silsbee to 3-0 in 22-4A play and in a tie with LC-M for first-place while the Lady Bobcats slipped to 2-1.

The Lady Tigers got off to a hot start, outscoring Orangefield 14-6 in the first quarter and led at Halftime 28-17.

The Lady Bobcats rallied to tie it up at 38-38 at the end of the third with a 21-10 run. The Lady Tigers were able to pull away in the fourth quarter, finishing with a 23-13 spurt.

Faith Fregia led the Lady Bobcats with 15 points.

Emmi Lummus contributed nine points, eight steals, eight assists and four rebounds. Jacey Bourque had seven points while Cameron Choate had 11 rebounds.

The Lady Bobcats will visit LC-M Tuesday.
