Bears nab big wins at Fredericksburg tourney

FREDERICKSBURG — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears snagged a pair of nice wins at the Fredericksburg Tournament Wednesday.
The Bears rolled pas Wimberley 60-38 behind a big double-double from Christian Weatherly, who poured in 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Katon Brown tallied 17 points while Braden Bridges added 10.
The Bears then notched a 71-67 victory over St. Dominic Savio in overtime.
Brown cut up for 28 points for the Bears while Bridges filtered in 19 and Weatherly 14.
