In an attempt to steal a Paslode cordless framing nailer from Home Depot, at approximately 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, two men led police officers on a chase through Pinehurst. One man was found hiding in a bush.

An employee noticed one of the men walking out of the store with the nail gun and asked to see his receipt. He continued to walk past her so she reached for the item. The man drug her outside with it, according to the police report.

AS the man got into the passenger side of the vehicle, the employee attempted to reach for the item again. Both men held onto the item as the driver sped off causing the woman to fall to the ground.

The employee suffered a large contusion to her forehead.

A witness, according to a police report, saw the vehicle speed up and cause a female Home Depot employee fall to the ground. The witness called 9-1-1 and followed the vehicle until the police were on the scene.

William Joseph Robinson, 33, of Orange, was charged with robbery and evading arrest with a vehicle with a previous conviction.

Timothy James Livingston, 49, a transient, was charged with robbery and evading arrest.
