The Vidor Disaster Recover Center (DRC) is still open. While the deadline to register with FEMA for the historical storm, Harvey, the center remains open to help assist residents with answers.

While a decline in foot traffic may a determining factor for when a DRC closes, the center is not set to be closed at this time.

“DRCs are there primarily to help people with problems that occur mostly after registration – the exception would be problems with registering itself,” FEMA Media Relations Manager Kurt H. Pickering said in a press release.
