Filing for the March Primaries ends 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11 and names are being added to the election daily at every level of state and local positions.

The latest to file is the first Democrat to file for the local position of County Commissioner Precinct 2, Deborah Mitchell.

Mitchell stepped down from Orange County Democrat Chair. John Baker will serve as Interim Democrat Chair.

John Baker and Marc Carter are expected to file for Orange County Democrat Chair.
