PORT NECHES — For the second time in less than a week, the Port Neches-Groves Indians toppled the Bridge City Cardinals.

PN-G defeated Bridge City 49-35 at the Nederland Tournament last week and handed the Cardinals a 59-36 defeat Tuesday night at Indian Gym.

Edsel Damo paced the Indians with 22 points while Trent Lee had 15 points and Drake Rojas added 11. Tracy Smith had 14 rebounds for the Indians.

Kolton Weeks led the Cardinals with 13 points while guard Chason Burch contributed 11.

Nederland 68, WO-S 52

WEST ORANGE — Sparked by a 22-point effort by Hayden Hefner, the Nederland Bulldogs scooted past the West Orange-Stark Mustangs 68-52 Tuesday night at Mustang Gym.

The Bulldog win offset a superb performance by Mustang Terron Brown, who poured in a game-high 26 points while snagging 12 boards. B’Jan Arvie added 14 points for the Mustang attack.
