Bobcats claw their way past Kirbyville

KIRBYVILLE — The Orangefield Bobcats went on the road and snared a 43-28 victory over the Kirbyville Wildcats Tuesday night.

Alex Catt powered the Orangefield arsenal by pumping in a game-high 18 points. And also had four rebounds and a pair of steals.

Guard Aven Lathrop filtered in eight points and had four rebounds. Drew Worthy and Dylan Williams both chimed in with six points apiece.

Ryan Deutsch had a stellar defensive effort as he swiped a team-high six steals and had a team-high five rebounds.

The Bobcats led 19-13 at the end of the first quarter and the score remained the same at halftime. The Bobcats then were able to extend the cushion to 30-20 at the end of the third period.

The Bobcats will now move on to play host to the Tennison Tournament Thursday through Saturday.
