To The Leader

Thirty-six retired and active New York City fire fighters will travel to South East Texas to distribute toys to children and their families affected by Hurricane Harvey.  These firefighters will distribute toys at North Orange Baptist Church and Community Christian Church in Orange and St. Anthony’s Cathedral in Beaumont on Saturday, December 9th from 9 am till noon. Santa Claus will be present to greet families and take photos, plus local fire fighters and police will be present.  All families are welcome to come to any location next Saturday!

New York City Fire Department is working through the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to assist with disaster relief efforts from coast to coast.  Visit tunnel2towers.org for more information about Stephen’s amazing story of service and sacrifice and his legacy that continues on through helping others.  The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation has already ordered $10,000 worth of toys and is collecting toys at multiple locations in Connecticut, Long Island, and Staten Island. Trucks will begin transporting the toys to our area this coming week.
