Former West Orange-Stark standout Kentavious (KJ) Miller was named Co-Freshman of the Year and Honorable Mention All-Conference on the American Southwest All-Conference Team after a stellar freshman season at East Texas Baptist University.

Miller, who was such a key part of back-to-back Class 4A Division II state championship teams at WO-S the last two years, had an outstanding first year at ETBU recording 17 catches for 219 yards and two touchdowns and averaged 29.5 yards per punt return and 24.5 yards on kickoff returns. He also had a punt return for a touchdown vs. SAGU.

Miller was named The Orange Leader’s Male Athlete of the Year for the 2016-17 school year.
