VIDOR — Kevin McClure was arrested on Thursday in connection with a hit and run which left a grandmother dead last month.

On October 13, Wanda Spoonmore, of Beaumont, was crossing Hwy. 12 in Vidor with her grandchildren, after attending Terror of Maze, when she was struck by a vehicle. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the SUV hit the woman and continued down Hwy. 12 towards the 105 area.

Vidor Police received a call in reference to a reckless driver in the area right after the crash, according to a previously published article in The Orange Leader.

McClure is charged with failure to render aid with serious bodily injury or death, a second degree felony punishable by two – 20 years.

His bond has been set at $100,000.
