KIRBYVILLE — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals put together one of their best matches of the season as they hammered out a 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21 victory over District 21-4A champion Huntington Tuesday night in the Class 4A bidistrict playoffs at Kirbyville High School.

The Lady Cardinals, the fourth-place team out of District 22-4A, stymied the Lady Devilettes, who wrapped up their season at 26-10.

The Lady Cardinals will now move on to face the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks Thursday at 7 p.m. at Vidor High School in the area round.

H-J defeated Houston North Forest 25-16, 25-15, 25-11 in bidistrict.

The BC-H-J winner will face either LC-M or Tarkington in the regional quarterfinals next week.
