SEGUIN — Former West Orange-Stark standout Keyshawn Holman is making a mark as a true freshman for the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs.
Holman had his best game yet in a Bulldog uniform this past Saturday when he notched eight tackles and two sacks as the Bulldogs knocked off East Texas Baptist 41-34 in American Southwest Conference play.
For his effort, Holman was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week in the ASC.
Holman’s two sacks went for a negative 24 yards as he helped try to contain ETBU.
Holman has 21 tackles and three sacks for the season as the Bulldogs are now 4-2 on the season but more importantly 4-1 in conference play. TLU is currently on a three-game winning streak.
Holman was a key cog for WO-S the past three seasons on the defensive side of the ball, helping lead the Mustangs to two straight Class 4A Division II state crowns.
Holman was also a standout powerlifter at WO-S and qualified for the State Powerlifting Meet last March.
