Arlanxeo employee life flighted for non-life threatening burns

An Arlanxeo Orange Facility employee was reported to be in non life threatening  conditions after having to be life flighted Sunday evening.

Orange Fire Department responded around 5 p.m., on Sunday, to the Arlanxeo Plant on Farm to Market Road 1006 in reference to an employee being burned.

The facility issued the following statement: ‘an employee was working on a small bleed valve connected to a process line when an ignition occurred causing the employee to suffer non-life-threatening Burns. The employee was reported to be in stable condition after the incident.

Acadian Ambulance Air Rescue responded to the scene to transport the victim to a burn unit for treatment as a precaution. Due to this incident there is no impact to the community from the incident and the plant is still operating in normal condition.

The safety of our employees and the community are always in the first priority at Arlanxeo Facility and we are continuing to further investigating this incident with our health and safety personnel.’

Arlanxeo was established in April 2016 as a joint venture of Lanxess and Saudi Aramco.
