ORANGEFIELD _ The Orangefield Lady Bobcats returned the favor to Orange County rival Bridge City Tuesday night as they defeated the Lady Cardinals 25-19, 25-22, 25-17 in District 22-4A volleyball action at Bobcat Gym.

It is the second straight 22-4A win for the Lady Bobcats (2-4 in district) after they defeated West Orange-Stark last Friday.

In the first half of 22-4A play it was the Lady Cardinals (2-4 in district) which swept the Lady Bobcats at Cardinal Gym .

Devany Crain and Bailee Click each had five kills for Orangefield while Kinley Gipson and Taylor Decker had two apiece.

Taylor Decker had eight assists while Mackenzie Davis had seven.

The Lady Bobcats had their service game working well as Decker and Click each had five aces while Lily Saucedo had four and Jessica Metts three.

Crain and Faith Fregia notched eight digs apiece while Davis had six while Click also had two blocks.

The Lady Bobcats will host Hamshire-Fannett Friday while Bridge City will welcome Silsbee.

HAMSHIRE — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears dropped their first match of the District 22-4A volleyball season by falling to Hamshire-Fannett 3-1 at Longhorn Gym Tuesday night.

The Lady Bears and Lady Longhorns are now tied atop the 22-4A standings with 5-1 marks.

LC-M will visit WO-S Friday while H-F goes to Orangefield.

 

Silsbee def. WO-S

SILSBEE — The Silsbee Lady Tigers defeated the West Orange-Stark lady Mustangs 25-17, 25-23, 25-21 in District 22-4A volleyball action Tuesday night.

The win pushes Silsbee to 4-2 in district while the Lady Mustangs slipped to 0-6.

WO-S hosts LC-M Friday while Silsbee visits Bridge City.
