The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls from Sept. 4 – Sept. 18, 2017:

 

Monday, Sept. 4

  • Shooting at the 1100 Butler Street in Vidor. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 5

  • Traffic stop near Farm to Market Roads 1078 and 1130 in Orange. A male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
  • Disturbance at the 2000 block of Call Street in Vidor. A male was arrested for assault.

 

Friday, Sept. 8

  • Traffic stop for curfew violation near Farm to Market Road 105 and 408 in Orangefield. A man was arrested for active warrants out of Bridge City and issued summons for no driver’s license and no liability insurance.
  • Theft at an undisclosed location on Jap Lane in Orange County.

 

Saturday, Sept. 9

  • Burglary at the 1000 block of Pine Cove Street in Vidor. The burglary occurred during the evacuation of Hurricane Harvey.
  • Disturbance at an undisclosed location at Aunt Sadie Road in Vidor.

 

Sunday, Sept. 10

  • Suspicious person at the 400 block of Russell Road in Vidor. Three persons were detained for suspicious activity. All three were arrested pending criminal charges.
  • Assault at the 1400 block of Buckingham Drive in Orange.
  • Theft at an undisclosed location on Linda Street in Orange.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 12

  • Disturbance at the 5400 block of Farm to Market Road 408 in Orange.
  • Recovery of a stolen vehicle at the 2900 block of Myrtle Street in Vidor. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Vidor.
  • Theft at an undisclosed location on Ashford Drive in Vidor.
  • Disturbance at the 1400 block of Aloha Street in Vidor.
  • Trespass at an undisclosed location on Alice Street in Orange.
  • Burglary at the 3600 block of Benson Road in Orange.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 13

  • Disturbance at the 12200 block of State Hwy. 62 in Orange. During the investigation a person was arrested for pending criminal charges.
  • Suspicious vehicle at the 8100 block of Mica Circle in Orange.
  • Cruelty to animals at an undisclosed location on West Bluff Road in Orange. The injured dog was transported to a veterinary clinic for medical evaluation.

 

Thursday, Sept. 14

  • Theft at the 18000 block of South State Hwy. 62 in Orange.

 

Friday, Sept. 15

  • Animal bite at the 9500 block of Old Hwy. 87 north in Orange.
  • Assault at the 200 block of Farm to Market Road 1131 in Vidor.

 

Saturday, Sept. 16

  • Stolen vehicle at the 7000 block of North Linscomb Road in Vidor.
  • Theft at the 300 block of Greathouse in Vidor.

 

Sunday, Sept. 17

  • Welfare concern near North Main Street and Farm to Market Road 1131 in Vidor. A man was found standing in the middle of the road. The person was placed into custody for public intoxication.
  • Runaway at the 2400 block of Eva Street in Orange.

 

Monday, Sept. 18

  • Criminal mischief at the 4100 block of Cambridge Road in Orange.
  • Disturbance ta the 12600 block of Duncan Woods Lane in Orange.
  • Burglary at an undisclosed location on Old Hwy. 87 in Orange.
  • Disturbance at the 6800 block of Exxon Street in Orange.
  • Disturbance at the 6800 block of Exxon Street in Orange. While in route, the deputy was advised a suspect vehicle was leaving the area. The vehicle was stopped. The driver was arrested when, during the traffic detention, a controlled substance was located.
