Helping businesses return after Harvey

Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce understands the challenges business are facing after Tropical Storm Harvey flooded the county. The chamber has had to relocate temporarily to the First Financial bank located at 812 North 16th Street in Orange.

As entrepreneurs are faced with rebuilding and short staff, the chamber has scheduled an informational meeting with representatives from FEMA, SBA and other valuable resources to assist business owners reopen their doors.

The meeting will be held 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, at Lamar State College Orange in the Nursing Building Room at 201 Front Street, Room 102. Parking entrance is on 1st Street.

With deadlines to register for assistance approaching, the meeting is to help business owners get the answers to their questions.

“This is open for everyone,” Chamber President Ida Schossow said.
