If Hurricane Harvey flooded your home, clean up as soon as possible. Don’t wait for a flood insurance adjuster or FEMA Home Inspector.

Before you remove anything, take photos or video of the inside and outside – including damaged personal property – and label them by room.

Photograph the make, model, and serial numbers for items like washers, dryers, hot water heaters, kitchen appliances, TVs and computers.

Keep samples of carpet, flooring, wallpaper and drapes.
