LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears opened the new gym at the high school with some flair Tuesday night as they swept the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns 25-20, 25-19, 25-16 in their District 22-4A opener.

Kaitlin Avery paced the Lady Bears with 10 kills to go along with 10 digs and three aces. Renna Toomey notched eight kills and 13 digs and Morgan Weaver set the offense up well with 15 assists.

The Lady Bears will visit Evadale in non-district action Friday and will host West Orange-Stark Tuesday.

WO-S fell to Silsbee 25-16, 25-14, 25-17 on Tuesday.
