From staff reports

As the community works towards rebuilding after a storm of historic significance, The Orange Leader will continue to inform and serve the community.

We will continue to distribute the paper throughout the area and at additional locations to help readers stay informed during the recovery process following the flooding from Tropical Storm Harvey.

“It is the newspaper’s highest obligation to inform and serve,” Orange Leader Publisher Bobby Tingle said. “We will put our every effort behind keeping the people of our community informed as we all work together to rebuild.”

The Orange Leader will be offered free this weekend throughout the county as a way to help the community as we begin the recovery process.

The Orange Leader 2017 Football Edition is in today’s edition of The Orange Leader.

The edition was going to come out Wednesday, Aug. 30 until Hurricane Harvey struck the area.

The papers will be at Wal-Mart, grocery stores and as many convenience stores as possible today.
