A United Way fundraising event set for Saturday has been postponed until further notice.
Pete’s Dueling Pianos was set for this weekend to benefit the United Way of Orange County. The agency is currently assisting local non-profits aiding flood victims.
“With all the devastation to our area, we are postponing the event to a later date,” United Way President and CEO Maureen McAllister said.
The United Way of Orange County office was flooded during TS Harvey. The agency is seeking a temporary location.
The funds being raised for Disaster Relief Fund are 100-percent for the agencies currently helping people.
“There are no administration costs attached to these dollars,” McAllister said. “The funds are distributed to the agencies helping the people.”
McAllister has also assisted at the Orange County Airport as supplies have been flown into the county for distribution.
“Salvation Army will distribute the supplies such as food and water,” McAllister said. “Cleaning supplies will be distributed from there as well as supplies are available.”
