Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD administrators met on Wednesday, September 6, to review the District status and needs assessments, as well as continue developing the strategic plan to open school. The goal, as always, is to provide a safe, quality educational environment for all students and staff.

The plan is for staff to begin on Monday, September 18, and students on Wednesday, September 20. Temporary schedules are being developed, as needed, for alternative school locations and modified school hours. Notification of specific times and locations will be provided next week as soon as they are available. Hours and locations will return to normal as facilities become operational.

Announcements will continue to be sent to parents via the school messenger e-mail and voicemail system, through e-mail to staff and the media, in addition to being posted on the District website, www.lcmcisd.org, and LCMCISD Facebook page.

The LCM District is requesting a waiver from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), to be exempt from making up as many days as possible that have been missed because of Hurricane Harvey.
