BEAUMONT, TEXAS – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), with the assistance of the Texas Department of Transportation has closed all westbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10 at Smith Road due to flooding.

All traffic will be diverted from Interstate 10 to the Smith Road exit. Safety is a top priority; therefore, DPS is urging citizens to stay off the roadways as major highways can be quickly inundated with flood waters.
