Press Release — At approximately 4 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 62 in Orange County.  The crash occurred on the Tulane Overpass.
Initial reports indicate that there was a multiple vehicle crash that occurred because one vehicle hydroplaned and crossed into oncoming traffic.
DPS can confirm that this is a fatal crash.  At this time, the number of injured victims has not been confirmed.
This investigation is in the preliminary stages and additional details will be released as information is confirmed.
