Coach Cornell Thompson, Head Football Coach of the West Orange-Stark Mustangs, along with many members of his coaching staff, was a guest at the Tuesday meeting of Orange Rotary Club. Thompson provided a coaches glimpse into the upcoming football season. According to Thompson, the Mustangs have several returning starters but many of the players will be untested under the ‘Friday night lights’. His players and coaches have continued the Mustang tradition of working hard in the offseason to prepare. Thompson was complimentary of last year’s graduates, many of whom excelled in the classroom and he anticipates his current team will do the same.
