The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls from July 31-Aug. 6, 2017:

Monday, July 31

  • Criminal mischief at the 10800 block of Hwy. 12 in Orange.
  • Disturbance at the 100 block of Greathouse Road in Vidor.
  • Assault at the 2000 block of North Main in Vidor.
  • Suspicious circumstances at the 2900 block of North Main in Vidor.

Tuesday, Aug. 1

  • Vicious animal at the 2500 block of Caney Creek Road in Vidor.
  • Suspicious circumstances at the 4300 block of Claire Street in Vidor.
  • Burglary at the 800 block of Evangeline Drive in Vidor.
  • Suspicious circumstances at an undisclosed location on State Hwy. 62 in Orange. A female was arrested for outstanding warrants and burglary of a building.

Wednesday, Aug. 2

  • Theft at the 300 block of Claiborne Street in Vidor.
  • Assault at an undisclosed location on Marshall Willey Road in Orange.
  • Assault at the 1600 block of Concord Street in Vidor.

Thursday, Aug. 3

  • Burglary at the 5000 block of Williamson Road in Vidor.
  • Disturbance at an undisclosed location on Pattillo Road in Orange. A male and female were attempting to burglarize the residence when deputies arrived. Both were arrested for burglary of a habitation.

Friday, Aug. 4

  • Runaway at the 13000 block of Duncan Wood in Vidor.
  • Numerous vehicle burglaries near Rickey and Aloha Streets in Vidor.
  • Assault at the 300 block of Claiborne Street in Vidor.
  • Theft at an undisclosed location on Lewis Drive in Orange.
  • Criminal mischief at the 1600 block of Aloha Street in Vidor.
  • Burglary at the 1600 block of Aloha Street in Vidor.
  • Disturbance at the 100 block of Ford lane in Orange.
  • Disturbance at the 800 block of North Main Street in Vidor. A deputy spotted a vehicle driving recklessly in the parking lot.
  • Arrest at the 8700 block of North State Hwy. 87 in Orange. A deputy witnessed a vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign. The driver was arrested for evading arrest, fail to ID, possession of a controlled substance, and disregarding a stop sign.
  • Assault at the 6400 block of South Bilbo Street in Orange.

Saturday, Aug. 5

  • Sexual assault of a child in the Vidor area.
  • Suspicious person at the 1300 block of Concord Street in Vidor. A driver of a silver vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamines.
  • Burglary at the 500 block of Faye Road in Vidor.

Sunday, Aug. 6

  • Stolen vehicle at Walmart in Orange.
  • Disturbance at the 9000 block of Hwy. 12 in Orange.
  • Disturbance at the 1300 block of Willow Bend Drive in Vidor.
