A vehicle came to a final resting spot after taking down part of the West Orange Cove Consolidated School District’s fence on Friday.

Around 4 p.m., the City of Orange Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 8th and Park Street in Orange.

According to officers on the scene, a female driver of a tan Infinity was traveling northbound on 8th street, which is a one way street that is southbound only.

Being that she was traveling the wrong way, there was no stop sign at the intersection of 8th and Park, where she collided with a west bound Toyota Corolla which was not required to stop at the intersection.

The collision caused the Toyota Corolla to go northbound on 8th Street several feet and shattered the back glass.

The Infinity crashed into a fence on the school district property.

Both drivers on scene were assessed by Acadian Ambulance personnel and neither were transported.

The female driver of the Infinity was given a citation.
