BRIDGE CITY — Complete Staffing in Bridge City is a drop off location for the Samaritan’s Purse shoebox drive.

They are having a Christmas in July collection drive to fill average sized shoe boxes with small toys and toiletry items for needy children.

Stephanie Jeane, Account Manager at Complete Staffing, is encouraging local businesses to jump on board and ask their employees to bring an item or two from a local dollar store to fill boxes.

Once you have your box filled, take it to Complete Staffing. These boxes are distributed to needy children in over 100 countries around the world.

Shoebox gift suggestions include”wow” items such as outfits, shoes, musical instrument, soccer ball with pump, stuffed animal, doll. Toys such as toy cars, jump ropes, yo-yos, toys that light up and make noise. Accessories are good such as socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips and flashlights. Also, non-liquid hygiene items such as toothbrushes, bar soap, washcloths and combs are good as well.

School supplies are great as well.

Get a standard size shoebox to pack for a boy or girl. Need shoeboxes? Preprinted boxes are available online. Also, children like a personal note and photo as well from the givers.
