Motorcyclist being treated for severe head injuries

On Monday July 3rd, 2017 around 12:50 pm, Orange Police received a call in reference to a car versus motorcycle accident on Highway 105 at Cow Bayou. A white male riding a three wheel motorcycle exited a private driveway on to Highway 105 without yielding and was struck by a Buick Century traveling west on 105. Orange Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance also responded to the scene to treat the injured male. He was assessed on scene and transported by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital with severe head injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The case remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department.
