Stanslaeus Eric Roberts was arrested on Monday for stealing a lawnmower at approximately 2:45 a.m. Monday.

A citizen, while looking out a window, spotted a man removing his lawnmower from the back yard carport on Inwood Circle A. the resident followed the man while calling Orange Police Department dispatch to report the incident.

Roberts was riding a bicycle while towing the lawnmower when police located him near 14^th Street and Cordrey Ave. in Orange.

A check of Roberts’ criminal history showed two previous convictions for theft out of County Court at Law 2, according to a police report.

Roberts was transported to the Orange County Jail.

The lawnmower was returned to the owner and Orange Police Department took custody of Roberts’ bicycle for safe keeping.
