Food Challenge

The aroma of fruits, vegetables and sizzling sausage filled the air as 60 Orange County kids, ranging from eight to 14 years of age, took part in this summer’s Agrilife 4-H food challenge, on Thursday, at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center. After spending several days on food preparation and safety, the children were separated into small groups and had 40 minutes to decide on, prepare and cook an entree of their choosing using only the ingredients given to them.
