Man arrested for synthetic marijuana

Charles Chapman was arrested at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday for possession of synthetic narcotics when he admitted to police he had synthetic marijuana in his pocket.

Police were on the scene due to reports of a man, possibly intoxicated, near the 4200 block of Tejas in Orange, according to a police report.

Chapman was charged with Possession of Marijuana Class B.

 

Beaumont man arrested for public intoxication

A man claiming to clean a local restaurant to receive free food resisted arrest for public intoxication.

Kevin Scott Nash, 29, of Beaumont, was arrested at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mazzio’s Pizza for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

An Orange Police Officer located Nash behind the restaurant turning on water hose. Nash told the officer he was cleaning the restaurant to receive a free pizza.

Nash became aggressive, irate and attempted to resist arrest was the officer attempted to detain him.

Nash was transported to the Orange County Jail.
