Acadian Ambulance contacted Orange Police Department and Orange Fire Department for assistance for a call concerning an assault victim at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the 300 block of Burton in Orange.

Upon arrival a officer found a black male sitting on the ground bleeding with an open wound on his face and blood covering his body according to a police report. The officer also reported seeing cuts on the man’s hands which were consistent with injuries sustained from fighting.

According to witnesses on scene, the injuries occurred during a altercation between the victim and several males at the basketball court. However witnesses reportedly told officers they did not see anything and had no information on a suspect.

The victim was uncooperative during questioning by police and did not want any police assistance, according to the report.

The victim was assessed on scene by Acadian Personnel and transported to hospital for treatment.
