Diamond playoffs set for the week as 5 OC teams look to move on

The playoffs are set for local softball and baseball teams this week.

The Bridge City Lady Cardinals and Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears will be involved in Class 4A Region III quarterfinal battles while the West Orange-Stark Mustangs, Bridge City Cardinals and Orangefield Bobcats will be in area round matchups on the baseball diamond.

In softball, Bridge City will take on Hardin-Jefferson in a best-of-three series.

Game One will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Port Arthur Memorial High School. Game Two will be Friday at Port Neches-Groves High School at 5 p.m. followed by Game Three if necessary.

LC-M will take on Huntington in a best-of-three series. Game One will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Kirbyville High School. Game 2 will be Saturday at noon at Jasper High School with Game Three to follow if necessary.

In baseball, WO-S will face Tarkington in a best-of-three series. Game One is Friday at 7 p.m. at Baytown Sterling High School. Game 2 will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Jasper High School with Game Three to follow if necessary.

Orangefield will face Hardin-Jefferson in a best-of-three series at Port Neches-Groves High School. Game One is Friday at 7 p.m. Game 2 is Saturday at 2 p.m. followed by Game Three if necessary.

Bridge City will face Liberty in a best-of-three series. Game One is Thursday at 7 p.m. at PN-G High School. Game Two is Friday at 5 p.m. at Crosby High School. Game Three will be Saturday at a site yet to be determined.
