Special to the Leader
Sabine Federal Credit Union and the City of Pinehurst joined together to bring the members of the credit union and citizens of Pinehurst their first Spring Shred Day on April 29, 2017. Over 250 cars lined the parking lot of Sabine FCU during the event with a total shred amount of 19,000 pounds of paper! Employees of Sabine FCU and the City of Pinehurst worked hard to help with traffic while passing out water and cookies to those in attendance. Special thanks goes out to John Toney, City of Pinehurst Street Department Director, and his crew of Darren May and Ray Smith for helping to unload, break down and dispose of all the empty boxes.
