A woman was assaulted and robbed after dropping a friend off at 1:30 a.m. Thursday night at the 4000 block of Sikes Road.

The person reported the incident at the Orange Police Department at 10:30 a.m. the same day.

The woman, according to police reports, was dropping off a friend in the parking lot of an apartment complex when she was approached by an individual.

The individual proceeded to strike her several times before entering the vehicle and stealing a cell phone and the females wallet.
