A female traveling around 11:15 a.m. on Monday Northbound in the 16000 block State Highway 62 lost control of her Chevrolet Malibu. Witnesses said the female was driving down State Highway 62 when she suddenly veered off the road and landed in the ditch. The wreck caused her to be trapped in the car. Orange County ESD 4 Fire Department had to use the jaws of life to pry her out of the vehicle. She was assessed on scene by Acadian Ambulance personnel and transported to hospital with moderate injuries and possible broken ankle. Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating this accident.
