HAMSHIRE — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals finished the first half of District 22-4A softball play with a 8-2 victory over the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns.

The Lady Cardinals (4-1) are tied for first with LC-M.

Kassidy Wilbur worked six innings, giving up just two hits and one run. Summer Black tossed the seventh, allowing a run on two hits.

Wilbur went 3-for-5at the plate with a triple and four runs scored. Natalie Reed was 2-for-5 with two doubles. Kyndall Harrison, Caitlin Denison, Maggie Garcia and Carley Simon all picked up hits for the Lady Cardinals, who will host Orangefield Friday.
