I am from Sugar land, TX. I have resided in Orange, TX for the past 10 years. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in Communications and a M.A. in Public Relations.
I love people and I am very passionate about our youth. In our society, our youth are losing focus of what is important (education, family and discipline). My goal is to have a foundation here in Orange set up to motivate our children to be leaders and take education serious. I WANT TO BUILD leaders and it starts with our children.
I have worked at Affordable Home Furnishings for about seven years. Apart from working there, I am also an actress and a model. I attended the New York School for Film and Television in 2007 and have been in tv programs, commercials, have done print ads and radio. I am a woman with many gifts and as someone who is an over achiever. I pride myself in everything I do.
I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, Macaria Thomas 4 and Myla Thomas 4 months. They are truly my motivation in everything I do. I come from the Nigerian descent and am very proud of my family heritage. My roots have taught me to lead, be successful, and value the importance of education. I am thankful and blessed to have the family God has blessed me with.
My goal as a candidate for City Council At- Large Place 6 in Orange, TX is what my slogan represents, UNIFIED WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I want to bring about a positive change in this city through communication, self-awareness, and love among our youth and community. This city has the potential to be even greater, and I just want to be that one person to make that difference.
