Dr. Earl Parker, left, served as book reviewer for THE EIGHTY DOLLAR CHAMPION: SNOWMAN, THE HORSE THAT INSPIRED A NATION, by Elizabeth Letts, at the recent combined meeting of the Orange Friends of the Library (FOTL) and American Association of University Women (AAUW).  A drawing was held and library patron Bob Bachelor won a collectible white ceramic horse, closely resembling the former racehorse of 1958-1969, Snowman, one of the nonfiction book’s central characters, owned and trained by a Dutchman, Harry deLeyer, in New York.
