Dairy Queen on 16th Street in Orange contacted Orange Police Department to remove and individual from the premises at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

A manager of the establishment requested a criminal trespass for Michael Jordan, of Orange.

When an officer approached Jordan, he ran from the officer.

Jordan ran outside to a nearby fenced in area and attempted to climb the fence before the officer reached him.

Another officer arrived and assisted with detaining Jordan, who refused to comply, according to a police report.

Jordan was charged with evading detention and issued a criminal trespass warning.
