Seated is Stephen Shea of Lake Charles, Louisiana, a partner in the civil engineering firm of Thrall and Shea.  He is the father of the subject Edward Forest Shea explained in Picture 2  and the grandfather of Charles Shea of Lufkin, Texas.  Stephen installed sawmill equipment for Kurth Lumber Company of Jasper and Keltys (also known as Angelina County Lumber Company) and possibly Lutcher and Moore of Orange.  If you have information pertaining to him or his work, please call me:  Charles Shea (936) 238-2189.

Pictured in the center of the swimming pool is Edward Forest Shea, the son of Stephen Shea and the father of Charles Shea of Lufkin, Texas. Obituary of Stephen Shea:  Stephen Shea, 79, Dies Suddenly, Rites Are Sunday Funeral services for Stephen Shea, 79, prominent construction engineer and lumberman of this area for 40 years, will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at his home, 318 East street, with the Rev. W. L. McLeod, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating.

Burial in charge of the Hixson funeral home will be in Orange Grove cemetery.

Pallbearers will be F. Lisle Peters, Morgan Musser, Alfred Roberts, H, G, Chalkley, Jr., Elmer Shutts, Gus Quinn, Lester Kiplinger, and Paul Hursey of Jasper, Texas.

Mr. Shea, who had been associated with the Kurth Lumber Company of Jasper, Texas, for the past two years, died suddenly at his residence there at about 1:30 P.M. Friday.

He was found dead in his chair where he was resting after lunch.

Built Saw Mills

A native of Milford, Mass., Mr. Shea had been engaged as a construction engineer for more than half a century and had worked throughout the Southern states.

Originally associated with the firm of Thrall and Shea of West Virginia, he came to Lake Charles 40 years ago.  This firm of millwrights built many saw mills in Louisiana and other states.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Ida Tullos Shea of Lake Charles, he is survived by two daughters, Misses Doris and Helen Shea, also of Lake Charles; two sons, Edward F. and Lester Shea, both of Lake Charles; two brothers, Percy Shea of Santa Cruz, Cal. and Charles Shea of Summerville, Mass.; one sister, Miss Bertha Shea of Milford, and two grandchildren.
