ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Jasper Lady Bulldogs Tuesday afternoon 5-2 in non-district action at Lady Bobcat Field.

Kaylee Ancelot got the win on the mound giving up two earned runs on six hits and 10 strikeouts.

Top hitters for the Lady Bobcats were sophomore Karlye Bramblett, who was 1 for 3 with a run scored and a two-run double. Ancelot went 3-for-4 with an RBI.  Freshman Tiffany Ciancaglione was 1- for-3 with a run scored. Junior Jessica Metts went 2-for-2 with a run scored and freshman Faith Fregia was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.

The Lady Bobcats open district Friday night at home against Bridge City with the JV beginning at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:30  p.m.
