WO-S’ Holman heading to State Power Meet

ANAHUAC — West Orange-Stark’s Keyshawn Holman punched his ticket to the Class 4A State Powerlifting Championships by placing second in the 181-pound Division at the 4A Region III Meet held at Anahuac High School.

Holman totaled 1,315 pounds in the three venues of the squat, bench press and deadlift.
Bobby Rash finished sixth for the Mustangs in the 242-pound class with a total of 1,165 pounds and Paul Ivory finished sixth in the 220-pound class with a total of 1,250 pounds.

Bridge City was represented well at the meet too.

Freshman Jake Potter placed fourth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 685 pounds. Sophomore Alex Williams placed sixth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 675 pounds.

Senior Tyler Tran placed ninth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1100 pounds. Senior Ian Palermo placed sixth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,140 pounds.

Senior Tristan Bigger placed seventh in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,120 pounds. Senior Keagan Landry placed eighth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,150 pounds. Senior, Jamison Thomas placed fifth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,275 pounds. Freshman Santos Garcia placed seventh in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,135 pounds. Senior Seth Green placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,370 pounds.
