LIBERTY — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears split a pair of games Thursday at the Liberty/Tarkington/Huffman Tournament.

The Lady Bears dropped a 6-4 decision to District 22-4A rival Silsbee.

Leavings was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Bears while Jonee Villanueva and Maddie Murdock each had hits.

The Lady Bears blitzed Liberty 12-3.

Jenna James got the win on the hill, striking out six while allowing two hits and three walks.

Murrdock was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate. Brianne Frenzel was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run while Jacie Perry had a true in the park home run.
