A 10 year old was in court on Thursday morning for assaulting a principal on Wednesday.

Little Cypress Intermediate School Principal Michael Ridout was assaulted by a juvenile resulting in minor injuries.

The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Orange Police Department Juvenile Interview Room prior to being turned over to the Juvenile Probation Department.

“The case was referred to the Juvenile Department,” Orange police Department Captain Robert Enmon said.

The youth was in County Court at Law 2 Judge Troy Johnson’s court on Thursday morning.
